A German freight forwarder is looking for a permanent partner around Schiphol for bonded warehousing, air freight handling and onward road transport. The partner works as a subcontractor under the forwarder's own name. The project has already started and is long term.<\/p>\n
Goods: general air freight, part of it medium to high value. No ADR and no temperature control.<\/p>\n
Volume: around 1,000 tonnes in total from now until April 2027, on pallets of around 140 kg. Storage time is 2 to 3 days at most, so in practice cross-docking with a short buffer.<\/p>\n
Flows: air freight import and export via Schiphol. Sea freight plays a minor role.<\/p>\n
Customs: a bonded warehouse (customs warehouse) is required for T1 shipments. The forwarder has its own customs broker. The importer of record is the end client.<\/p>\n
VAT: the forwarder itself has no Dutch VAT number and no Article 23 deferment licence. The end client holds both.<\/p>\n
Transport: onward carriage from Schiphol to the Netherlands, Germany, Finland and France, around 3 to 4 shipments per week of 1 to 4 tonnes each.<\/p>\n
Required: a bonded warehouse close to Schiphol, air freight handling, short-term storage and road transport into North-West Europe, with fixed rates for a long-term cooperation.<\/p>\n
